In a groundbreaking collaboration, the Smart City Operations Center (SCOPC) at Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen Province, and the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC) have joined forces to launch an advanced City Data Dashboard. This state-of-the-art tool is set to revolutionize spatial management and decision-making for the Khon Kaen Provincial Governor, positioning the province as a leader in smart city development.
The City Data Dashboard, designed to aggregate and analyze critical data, will empower local administrators with insights on strategic issues such as budget allocation, resource management, and environmental challenges. It will also provide real-time data on drought prevention, flood control, drug enforcement, and accident reduction. By presenting this data in a user-friendly format, the dashboard enables swift and precise decision-making, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
On August 21, 2024, key stakeholders gathered at Khon Kaen City Hall for a pivotal meeting to propel this initiative forward. The event was led by Mr. Maitree Intusut, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Public Administration System Development in Regional and Local Administration, with the participation of Ms. Areepan Charoensuk, Deputy Secretary-General of the OPDC, and Mr. Tanasak Mangkarothai, Director of the Regional and Local Administration Development Division. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Kraisorn Kongchalad, Governor of Khon Kaen, alongside representatives from local agencies and the SCOPC team from Khon Kaen University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodphakdee, Vice President for Academic and Digital Affairs, Prof. Dr. Wanida Kanarkard, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supasit Konyai, and other leading researchers.
