COLA of KKU drafts an MOU to look for substitution areas for the Rice Research Center and foster LRT
On September 11, at a meeting room in Khon Kaen City Office, A group of representatives from different offices in Khon Kaen joined a meeting to discuss an MOU draft that aims to find a substitution areas for Rice Research Center and foster LRT. Presented at the meeting were; Dr. Patanapong Topak-ngarm, an assistant dean for international affairs of College of Local Administration (COLA), Mr. Thirasak Theekayoo, a president of Khon Kaen Municipality Office, Dr. Kritwaroon Chaiyakit, a permanent secretary of Khon Kaen Municipality Office, Mrs. Krisana Sansa-art, an assistant permanent secretary of Khon Kaen Municipality Office, Mr. Thawatchai Wanapitakkul, a director of the civic work, Ms. Thitirat Sirichanon, a professional level lawyer of Khon Kaen Municipality Office. Mrs. Sooksiri Boonyaset, an assistant of a general director of the state property, Mr. Somsak Jungtrakul, a Khon Kaen governor, Mr. Thamrong Thongton, a director of the department for the management of the state property, Mr. Itchawoot Rittapai, a treasury of Khon Kaen, Major General Chartchai Praditpong, a chairperson of Khon Kaen Transit System Limited (KKTS), Mr. Sommai Lertna, a director of Rice Research Center in Khon Kaen, and representatives from 5 municipalities. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Amnuay Primonwong, a general director of the State Property Department.
The meeting discussed the construction of the pilot phase of Khon Kaen Light Rail Train (LRT). Phase 1: Red Line, linking Samran viallage to Tha Phra village.
