The College of Local Administration convened in Vietnam to evaluate its strategic performance and set future directions in line with its vision to be a leading ASEAN institution in public affairs.
The College of Local Administration of Khon Kaen University (COLA KKU) recently organised a seminar to review its strategic action plan and broaden perspectives on development within the Greater Mekong Subregion. The event, held from 5–8 May 2026 in Da Nang, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, provided a platform for evaluating past performance and systematically charting the College’s future course.
The delegation was led by Assistant Professor Sirisak Laochankham, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Local Administration, accompanied by the administrative team, faculty members, and staff. During the seminar, various departments presented their operational outcomes, covering academic affairs, administration, strategic planning and excellence development, academic services, student development, and network and organisational innovation initiatives.
A key part of the programme involved strategic discussions to collectively define the operational framework for the 2027 fiscal year. These efforts are guided by the College’s vision: “A Leading ASEAN Institution in Public Affairs Dedicated to Creating Value for All.” The sessions served as a vital forum for enabling all personnel to contribute through brainstorming and the collaborative design of organisational development strategies.
The seminar aimed to enhance operational excellence and strengthen the College’s capacity to adapt to global changes in technology, society, and the economy. By engaging in this forward-looking process, COLA KKU seeks to elevate its administrative efficiency and academic standing.
This international seminar underscores COLA KKU’s commitment to advancing excellence in academic programmes, research, and academic services. The initiative is also aligned with the College’s goal of creating a positive impact on society and communities at both national and international levels.
