KKU Empowers Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Through Branding and Design Workshop

KHON KAEN – Khon Kaen University (KKU) is supporting entrepreneurs with disabilities in elevating their community products through a specialised workshop on professional branding, logo design, and packaging.

On 23 March 2026, the Office of Academic Service, KKU, and the KKU Science Park (KKUSP) jointly organised a hands-on training session titled “Packaging Design, Logo, and the 7 Elements: The Secret Formula Behind a Memorable Logo.” The event forms part of a broader provincial project aimed at developing professional skills for persons with disabilities.

The workshop was led by branding and communication experts from the KKU Science Park, Ms. Orapan Suwanvijit and Ms. Sasithayapha Samranrom. They guided participants through the essential principles of creating a distinct and memorable brand identity.

Focusing on a practical approach, the training used real products from a group of artisans with disabilities from Ban Dong as case studies. These products included mushroom chili paste, fermented fish chili paste, potting soil, and herbal soap. Participants learned fundamental design concepts, the strategic use of color and fonts, and how to build a compelling story behind their logo to add value and stand out in a competitive market.

This initiative is part of the “Expansion of the Higher Education Network for Empowering Persons with Disabilities for Employment (KMUTT Model, Phase 2),” a project supported by the Fund for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.

The project directly reflects Khon Kaen University’s commitment to community outreach and aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
