KKU announces results of “KKU Transformation” Logo design competition

July 24, 2020 – Khon Kaen University today made an announcement of the results of KKU Transformation” Logo design competition. The new administrative concept “KKU Transformation” has been adopted for sustainable progress and development amid higher education crisis. The university’s administration has been directed towards preparation for the changes that come in the form of freedom of knowledge and access to knowledge resources, for readiness to face the leaping changes of technologies, and development of digital innovations for the society. Khon Kaen University thus organized this design competition for KKU Transformation” Logo. The aim is to use the chosen logo in public relation media. The competition’s rewards totaled over 95,000 baht, divided into the categories of the general public and students. A lot of people submitted their works for this competition. 

The result of the public category was won by Mr. Thanachat Khrongyut, whose design under the ‘Transformation’ concept conveys transformation as ‘open to receive ideas, drive forward creativeness, broaden perspectives, build opportunities, find inspiration from the surrounding and extend it, research, and continuously develop the institution toward the future’ – leading to THE TRANSFORMATION FOR THE NEXT GENERATION, where creative thinking is propelled, new perspective and learning is continuously built together with development, research and progress in the digital era. The logo conveys all of these in a minimal style with inherent conveyance of the transformation for the future and benefits in various aspects.  

The results of the general public category are as follows:

  • The first prize winner – Mr. Thanachat Khrongyut  (Winning 30,000 baht prize)  
  • The first runner-up – Mr. Jirapat Jaturapatpong  (Winning 20,000 baht prize)  
  • The second runner-up – Mr. Anirut Aim-im  (Winning 10,000 baht prize)  

For the student category, Mr. Kritayot Boonnamsuksakul won the first prize. The design concept was simple and modern. The simplicity is conveyed by using the KKU abbreviation to design into the logo.  

The results of the student category are as follows:

  • The first prize winner – Mr. Kritayot Boonnamsuksakul  (Winning 20,000 baht prize)  
  • The first runner-up – Mr. Banpacha Boonmee  (Winning 10,000 baht prize)  
  • The second runner-up – Mr. Tanapat Ponlao  (Winning 5,000 baht prize)  

 

The rewarded logos will be modified for use.
