On March 29, 2019, KKU was bestowed upon an honorable mention award from the 8th NACC Integrity Award remarking its transparent management.
Assoc. Prof. Chanchai Pantongviriyakul (M.D), an acting president of Khon Kaen University, said it was a great honor for the university to be bestowed an honorable mention award as an organization with transparent management from The 8th NACC Integrity Awards hosted by The Office for National Anti-Corruption Commission (ONACC). KKU won the award recognition despite its first-time application.
“There are about 20 organizations took part in the contest, winning the honorable mention award is really for KKU people. The award that we earn is an evidence toward KKU’s commitment to create auditable and transparent management. The award endorses the public trust on our performance and KKU is obliged to maintain this trust that the public has on us”, said the acting president.
The NACC Integrity Awards are based on 7 categories. 1) The award for organization dedicated for social, economic, and environmental management, 2) The award for organization being compliance with the legislative norms, 3) The award for organization well-conforming to human rights, 4) The award for organization with good governance, 5) The award for organization with good moral, 6) The award for organization with perseverance to the stakeholder’s benefit, social wellness, and target group’s satisfaction, and 7) The award for organization with international practices. The winners of these awards were praised for being the institutions that set morale standard for other institutions while showing the development transparent exercises in Thailand to the international eyes.
