KKU trains supporting staff to be institutional researchers

Khon Kaen University trains supporting staff to be institutional researchers encouraged to conduct academic research that can be developed and beneficial to their organizations

On September 9, 2019 at the President Office Building 2, Research Administration Division followed up and provided additional advice to supporting staff who had participated in institutional researcher project and attended the workshop for “writing institutional research of Khon Kaen University of year 2019” from August 31-September 1, 2019 at Chiangkhan River Mountain Resort, Loei Province. Institutional researchers have to submit their research to KKU Institutional Research Journal for publication. The experts of institutional research project were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panitarn Peerapattana, President of Institutional Research Project; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sunee Leopenwong; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wilawan Panpruek; Asst. Prof. Dr. Suchat Wattanachai; and Mr. Poomipak Pitakkhuan-khan. There were totally 23 people attended in this project.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Panitarn Peerapattana said the activity was created for supporting staff who conducted institutional research so that they could have a channel to publish their work financially supported by institutional research project. The types of research were both routine to research and institutional research. The experts were also invited to the workshop to help with research writing development. The university had expected that there would be an increase in the number of complete and qualified research projects which were ready to be published in academic journal – that was, KKU Institutional Research Journal is going to be published between September-December 2019.

Institutional researchers who attended in this project can develop their published paper further for the benefits of themselves and their work or even for the higher job levels: Professional Level, Senior Professional Level, and Expert Level. The institutional research project has consecutively been conducted for many years. The follow-up of research progress is to make sure that the research is completely and practically done. Then the research will be presented. The bottom line is that the institutional research is knowledge assets that lead to proper approaches for organizational development.
