NKC’s freshman orientation promoting KKU pride

Khon Kaen University, Nong Khai Campus, organizes freshman orientation of academic year 2019 to prepare new students and promotes KKU pride

    On July 19, 2019 at 9 a.m. at NK2217 meeting room of Common Lecture Building, Nong Khai Campus (NKC), freshman orientation of academic year 2019 was organized and was attended by 325 freshmen. The objectives of this orientation were to give students the clearer ideas of life at university and promote KKU pride. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piansak Pakdee, Vice President for Student Development and Nongkhai Campus, presided over the opening ceremony, lit the candles to pay homage to the Triple Gems, and remarked speech to welcome all new students. It was also an honored to have KKU administrators, lecturers, and staff attending the orientation to welcome the freshmen. 

    Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piansak Pakdee said congratulations to all freshmen. He also welcomed them to Khon Kaen University, the first and prestigious university in northeastern region. Student should be proud of themselves that they were accepted to study here. When their university life had begun, they should pay attention, adjust themselves to new environment as well as society, and manage their life to achieve their ultimate goals based on their academic scope and within the specific period of time. They also needed to apply knowledge they had acquired from the university for the best benefits of themselves and society so that they could become graduates who were complete with knowledge, moral, and ethic consistent with values that Thai people believe in.

    Then the administrators gave the badge of the 56th Kalapruek to a freshman representative, and Vice Chairman of Nong Khai Campus led freshmen to make a vow together. After the ceremony had ended, NKC presented the video of the campus, and there was a special talk on “Education and Life in the Digital Age” by an honorable guest, Asst. Prof. Dr.Narin Chansri, Assistant to the President for Student Development and Nongkhai Campus. That was the great opportunity for students to clearly understand education, academic services, and life at KKU, Nong Khai Campus.
