Sunday December 7, 2023 – Mo Din Daeng Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University, by 2 units joined the Teacher and Parent Club of Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (Mo Din Daeng) and the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School Alumni Association (Mo Din Daeng) organized the charity run, SMD Family Running For Fun 2024, to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Khon Kaen University. The Fun Run took place at Mo Din Daeng Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University.
The committee organizing the charity run, SMD Family Running For Fun 2024 comprised personnel from 4 organizations and departments, namely, Aj. Paitoon Narakorn, Acting Deputy Director of Khon Kaen University Demonstration Secondary School; Aj. Tanapak Haustakunapanit, Acting Deputy Director of Mo Din Daeng Demonstration Primary School; Dr. Kawee Jarungtaweewech, Chairman of the Teacher and Parent Club of Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (Mo Din Daeng); and Mr. Chumpon Silapadonbom, Chairman of the Alumni Association. The 4 committee members gave the interview at the Khon Kaen University Radio Station F.M. 103 Megahertz on Wednesday December 13, 2023 from 10:10 to 11:00 a.m.

Aj. Paitoon Narakorn, Acting Deputy Director of Khon Kaen University Demonstration Secondary School said that the SMD Family Running For Fun 2024 event, besides co-celebrating the 42nd year of the school and the 60th anniversary of Khon Kaen University, was organized by many organizations related to the School. The event was also cooperated by 5 sections of the school, namely, the kindergarten, the primary school of the Faculty of Education, the secondary school of the Faculty of Education, the International Demonstration School and the Special Education Demonstration School (Autistics Research Center). Therefore, there were 7 organizations that joined in arranging the event under the lead of Assoc. Prof. Issara Kanjuk, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Education and Asst. Prof. Sarawut Jakpeng, Vice Dean for Demonstration School and Educational Innovation Development, and Acting Director of KKU Demonstration School. The administrators have supported the staff in arranging the activity that promotes children’s sports potential. It was a good chance for organizers to plan the work together, learn how to cope with confronting problems. There were student committee members joining as the core part, helping in public relation so that all students came to join. The students also practiced taking pictures together and arranged cheering teams at different race route. The students are certain to bring this experience to use in their real life.
Aj. Paitoon added that with the 2 clubs that joined made the work strong in all aspects. Besides this activity there will be more cooperation at the Khon Kaen Educational Innovation Expo 2024 on January 19-20, 2024. This is a big event of Mo Din Daeng Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University. Until now, various schools learned about the news and said they are joining. The Faculty joined with Khon Kaen Provincial Administrative Organization in organizing this event. It is hoped that the school will progress and become strong in all aspects and the students will grow with quality in the future.
Aj. Tanapak Haustakunapanit, Acting Deputy Director of Mo Din Daeng Demonstration Primary School related that the children had fun and enjoyed the event. They learned to make friends with others and learn how to develop their own potentials. The Deputy Director then thanked the Teacher and Parent Club and the Alumni Association for supporting different activities of teachers and students, especially the SMD Family Running For Fun 2024, where the students, fathers, mothers and family had been looking forward to. More importantly the team of the primary school had planned the works in steps, so that the students could exercise and had fun with their family. The children have been developed and ready to grow with quality and continue their education at higher levels.
Mr. Chumpon Silapadonbom, Chairman of the Alumni Association added that there are now about ten thousand alumni of Mo Din Daeng Demonstration School. “We publicized the activity all groups of alumni so that they joined and returned to the school. When they returned they would see how the young ones stay. They could encourage the young ones and this led to unity. Many alumni have their children studying at the school so the relationship is strong. There will be more useful activities in the future.”
Dr. Kawee Jarungtaweewech, Chairman of the Teacher and Parent Club of Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (Mo Din Daeng) said that the Club acted as the key part in arranging the SMD Family Running For Fun 2024. They had done this from the first time to the fifth time. The income will be used for student development under the slogan: “Warm family, good health and love”. It is not only love in the family of the 7 parts of demonstration school, but also the personnel of Khon Kaen University and the families around the campus. It is the important role of the club to carry out activities all through the year and this activity is special as it also contributed in celebrating the 60th year of the University.
