Tuesday September 27, 2023 – The Natural Science Museum of Khon Kaen University attended the royal award presentation ceremony, the 14th Thailand Tourism Awards of 2023. Her Royal Highness Princess Ubolratana Rajakanya presided over the ceremony and gave the prizes to 254 entrepreneurs in the tourism industry at Samyan Mit Town, Bangkok.
This year is the first year that the Museum and Lifelong Learning Center of Khon Kaen University has participated in the project by submitting the works of the Natural Science Museum to the competition. The Museum receives the Thailand Tourism Silver Awards in the category of tourism spot in the branch of tourism place for learning. Miss Waraporn Phewpanngam, Acting Deputy Director of the Museum and Lifelong Learning Center of Khon Kaen University represented the Museum to receive the award at the 14th Thailand Tourism Awards ceremony of 2023.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand organized the royal award presentation on September 27, 2023, which is the World Tourism Day. The Thailand Tourism Awards are comparable to the certification of tourism products and services based on safe and sustainable tourism standards. The awards represent the tourism responsibility towards the society and the environment and for all sectors to contribute to the propulsion of strong and sustainable Thai tourism industry.
