August 11, 2022 at 13:30 p.m. – Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University organized the “50-year MDKKU: Mom & Kids Day 2022” with an aim to transfer good health from mothers to their children on the occasion of the National Mother’s Day. The event was held at Floor G, Central Plaza, Khon Kaen. Prof. Songsak Kiatchusakul, M.D., Director of Srinagarind Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University presided over the opening ceremony. A lot of administrators, representatives of Central Plaza Mall and distinguished guests attended.
Asst. Prof. Kiattisak Khonwatanakul, M.D., Assistant to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Health Service and Excellence Center of the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University reported about the objectives of the event. “The 50-year MDKKU: Mom & Kids Day 2022 – good health from mothers to children” is held for the public to obtain knowledge of good health and have access to the health care service. It is also the occasion to realize the virtue of mothers on the National Mother’s Day, August 12. The other objective is to connect the relationships and love within the family.”
The event featured performance by kids from the MDKKU Day Care, a contest of “Mothers and strong breast-fed kids”, prizes presentation by Prof. Dr. Songsak Kiatchusakul to the winning kids and to quality-pregnant mothers. The next session were a forum on: “Mom Talk: Happy mommy for healthy babies”, a forum on: “50 years of the Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University: Good health from Mother to Child, and Kids talk: 1000 magnificent days of fetus to healthy and smart babies.
There were also activity booths where visitors to the fair could receive health care services.
