KHON KAEN – Khon Kaen University’s administration officially marked the transition of its Student Organization leadership for the 2026 academic year, with a top official urging the new committee to innovate and surpass the achievements of their predecessors.
The handover and learning exchange event took place on the afternoon of Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Division of Student Development and Alumni Relations building. The ceremony served as the formal transfer of duties from the 2025 Student Organization committee to the incoming 2026 team.

Associate Professor Dr. Pensri Charoenwanich, Vice President for Student Affairs and Commercial Innovation, delivered the keynote policy address. She was joined by Assistant Professor Dr. Pongsathorn Yoddamnern, the advisor for the 2025 committee, and Mrs. Jessadaporn Srirattanaprapan, Acting Director of the Division of Student Development and Alumni Relations.
The event began with the outgoing 2025 committee presenting a summary of their work and accomplishments over the past year, providing valuable data and experience for the new team.
In her address, Dr. Pensri praised the 2025 committee for their successful efforts, emphasizing that strong leadership relies on a dedicated team to turn ideas into tangible results. “Our ultimate goal is to see positive change at Khon Kaen University, and students are the heart of that,” she stated.
Addressing the new 2026 committee, Dr. Pensri challenged them not to simply replicate past efforts. “Using the work of your predecessors as a benchmark is good, but we cannot just do as they did, because that means we are not developing,” she advised. “If you use the previous team as a comparison, you must do better. Study what they did, identify any shortcomings, and fill those gaps.”
The Vice President stressed that leaders must be brave enough to think and act outside the box, demonstrating strength, sacrifice, and good governance. She called for transparency and integrity in all actions to benefit fellow students and the university. “Every second that passes is an opportunity for learning and creating good things. Now that you have the opportunity to be leaders, do your best,” she urged.
Dr. Pensri also announced a significant policy change for the upcoming academic year. First-year students from the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences at the Nong Khai campus will now spend their entire first year studying at the main Khon Kaen campus before returning to Nong Khai. She tasked the new Student Organization with preparing activities to welcome and integrate these students, ensuring they can fully participate in university life from the start.
Concluding her remarks, Dr. Pensri offered her full support to the new committee, promising to act as a mentor and provide guidance to help them achieve all their goals for the 2026 academic year.
