Khon Kaen University (KKU) — The Faculty of Dentistry at Khon Kaen University extends its congratulations to Assistant Professor Ajiravudh Subarnbhesaj, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, on receiving the Leadership Excellence Award for 2025. This prestigious award honours executives who have played a pivotal role in steering their organisations, which have already achieved the TQC Plus award, towards tangible excellence.

The award ceremony was held as part of the Thailand Quality Award (TQA) Ceremony 2025, organised by the Thailand Quality Award National Office under the Thailand Productivity Institute. The event recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding management systems and strong international competitiveness. The ceremony took place on 26 February 2026 at the Makawan Rangsan Ballroom, Royal Thai Army Club, Bangkok.
Assistant Professor Ajiravudh Subarnbhesaj remarked that adopting the Thailand Quality Award criteria as an operational framework has enabled the Faculty to systematically enhance its management systems. “This framework has enabled us to design curricula and services that respond effectively to the needs of students and service users,” he said. “It has also helped identify key areas requiring accelerated development, including workforce planning aligned with the Faculty’s expanding mission, enhancing personnel competencies, and establishing sustainable revenue streams to ensure long-term financial stability. As a result, our strategic processes extend beyond planning and are translated into concrete actions across all organisational levels.”
The Dean also highlighted the positive outcomes resulting from these continuous efforts. He noted significant improvements in personnel skills and organisational engagement. Key processes across all missions have been consistently designed and reviewed, leading to greater operational efficiency and a tangible reduction in time, cost, and errors. Simultaneously, the development of services tailored to user needs has expanded the client base and strengthened the trust of patients, students, and stakeholders, contributing to clear revenue growth and qualitative results.
Looking ahead, the Faculty remains committed to its goal of becoming “A Great Dental School for All,” with a clear objective to “achieve its vision by 2027.” This involves producing high-quality graduates who meet professional standards and are prepared to serve society and improve the public’s quality of life. The administration prioritises clear operational systems, systematic role definitions, and evidence-based decision-making to ensure that operational outcomes are consistent, verifiable, and continuously improving.

The Dean added, “This progress reflects the collaborative power of our entire staff. Everyone has fully embraced their responsibilities, fostering strong teamwork and a shared sense of purpose. Our organisational culture has evolved to embed quality as an integral part of daily work. The journey from TQC Plus: People to TQC Plus: Operation demonstrates comprehensive development across our personnel, processes, and tangible results, positioning us to pursue international standards in the future.”
This achievement marks another significant milestone for the Faculty of Dentistry at Khon Kaen University in its systematic organisational development and its unwavering pursuit of sustainable excellence.
