KKU Faculty of Economics and CP ALL Forge Partnership to Enhance Student Potential for the Global Job Market

On 27 February 2026, the executive team of the Faculty of Economics, Khon Kaen University, held a significant meeting with the human resources department of CP All Public Company Limited, led by Ms. Kusuma Sukwong, General Manager of Recruitment. The meeting aimed to establish a sustainable partnership between the academic institution and the leading national private sector company, focusing on enhancing student potential through a Work-based Learning approach to prepare them for the international job market.

The discussion centred on strengthening collaboration between the Faculty of Economics and CP All PLC in three key areas: enhancing students’ professional readiness, expanding internship and cooperative education opportunities within a major national corporation, aligning curricula with evolving labour market demands, and co-organising workshops to equip students with practical workplace skills. These initiatives aim to build a robust and enduring bridge between higher education and the private sector.

Associate Professor Suthin Wianwiwat, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, remarked, “The Faculty of Economics is committed to building cooperative networks with leading private sector organisations to provide our students with real-world experience in national-level companies. This collaboration with CP All PLC, a premier business in the country, represents a crucial step in tangibly connecting the worlds of education and business through the Work-based Learning concept, which emphasises learning from practical experience.”

He further added, “We are confident that this partnership will significantly benefit our students by offering high-quality internship and cooperative education placements, strengthening curriculum relevance to modern labour market needs, and delivering career preparation workshops that enhance professional confidence. The Faculty will continue expanding its industry network to ensure our graduates remain competitive in both national and global job markets.”

Ms. Kusuma Sukwong, General Manager of Recruitment at CP All PLC, stated, “CP All places great importance on developing high-quality personnel to support the organisation’s growth in the digital era. Collaborating with a leading academic institution like the Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University is an excellent opportunity to co-create and develop a workforce with skills that match business sector needs. This will be achieved through quality internship and cooperative education programmes, as well as joint curriculum development that will equip students with essential skills for the modern workplace.”

The meeting resulted in a framework for cooperation between the Faculty of Economics and CP All PLC, focusing on three principal areas:

  1. Internship and Cooperative Education: Providing opportunities for students from the Faculty of Economics to undertake internships and cooperative education at CP All and its affiliated companies. This will allow them to gain practical experience in a leading national business, develop professional skills, and enhance their career readiness.
  2. Curriculum Development: Jointly developing and refining the curriculum to align with the demands of the modern labour market. Knowledge and experience from the business sector will be integrated into academic content to ensure graduates possess competencies that meet the needs of employers in the digital age.
  3. Workshops and Career Preparation: Co-organising workshops and practical training sessions to develop essential skills for the modern workplace, such as communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. Activities will also include preparation for job applications and interviews.

This partnership between the Faculty of Economics, Khon Kaen University, and CP All PLC marks a significant milestone in strengthening the connection between education and industry. By collaboratively producing graduates equipped with relevant competencies and real-world experience, the initiative reinforces the Faculty’s commitment to preparing students for success in an increasingly competitive global labour market.
