Dean of KKU Faculty of Economics Honoured with TQA Assessor Certificate for 2025

On 26 February 2026, at the Makkawan Rangsan Room in the Royal Thai Army Club, Bangkok, Associate Professor Suthin Wianwiwat, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University, was awarded a certificate of recognition as a Thailand Quality Award (TQA) Assessor for the year 2025. The official ceremony was held to honour individuals who play a crucial role in promoting and developing organisational quality in line with international standards. The event also served as an occasion to congratulate other faculties of Khon Kaen University that received national-level awards and quality certifications.

This recognition reflects the Faculty of Economics’ commitment to advancing organisational management systems aligned with global benchmarks. The experience gained through serving as a TQA Assessor will be applied to strengthen the Faculty’s internal management systems, cultivate a culture of continuous improvement under the TQA and EdPEx frameworks, enhance strategic implementation and workforce development, and promote evidence-based decision-making to deliver value for all stakeholders. These efforts aim to position the Faculty of Economics for sustainable excellence at both national and international levels.

Associate Professor Suthin Wianwiwat remarked, “It is a great honour to receive this certificate as a TQA Assessor for 2025. Serving in this capacity has been an invaluable experience, providing me with a profound understanding of the processes and criteria for national-level organisational quality assessment. I have also had the opportunity to observe examples of management excellence from various sectors, which will be immensely beneficial in adapting and developing the Faculty of Economics.”

He further remarked, “I intend to systematically apply the knowledge and experience acquired as a TQA Assessor to advance the Faculty in accordance with the TQA and EdPEx frameworks. This includes strengthening strategic management, operational systems, workforce capability, and stakeholder outcomes. Our focus will remain on structured implementation, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement to ensure sustainable excellence on both national and international stages.”

The Thailand Quality Award (TQA) is a prestigious national award presented to organisations demonstrating outstanding management systems that meet international standards. The criteria are based on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) of the United States and cover seven key categories: Leadership, Strategy, Customers, Measurement, Analysis, and Knowledge Management, Workforce, Operations, and Results. The TQA Assessors are key figures who evaluate and provide feedback to help applicant organisations improve their quality, and they must undergo a rigorous selection and training process to meet the required standards.

This achievement highlights the importance of collaborative learning and reinforces Khon Kaen University’s commitment to sustained organisational excellence. The Faculty of Economics remains dedicated to continuously elevating its management quality, guided by the TQA and EdPEx frameworks, to enhance institutional effectiveness and generate long-term value for society.
