KKU Faculty of Nursing Hosts Cap and Pinning Ceremony for Academic Year 2025, Welcoming New Graduates to the Profession

On Friday, 20 February 2026, the Faculty of Nursing at Khon Kaen University held its Cap and Pinning Ceremony for the academic year 2025. The event honoured the 52nd cohort of fourth-year students in the Bachelor of Nursing Science programme. Associate Professor Ampornpan Theeranut, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, presided over the ceremony, which took place at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University.

The ceremony was organised to confer the “cap stripe” and the “institutional pin,” distinguished symbols representing the completion of academic preparation and readiness to enter professional nursing practice. The event commenced with the formal presentation of these insignia to the students, signifying their knowledge, competence, and qualification to undertake professional responsibilities.

Associate Professor Ampornpan Theeranut remarked that the Cap and Pinning Ceremony not only celebrates academic achievement but also serves as a formal entrustment of the mission and steadfast commitment from one generation to the next. “It ensures that every nursing graduate recognises the significance of dedicating themselves to public health with knowledge, competence, and professional ethics,” she stated. “The Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, takes great pride in preparing high-quality nursing professionals who will contribute to strengthening the nation’s health and well-being.”

A central element of the ceremony was the rite of professional commitment, an important tradition designed to instil and reaffirm the core ideals of the nursing profession, including compassionate service, a human-centred approach to care, and a deep sense of social responsibility among the new graduates.

Following the formal proceedings, a commemorative group photograph was taken with faculty members and the 52nd cohort of nursing graduates to mark this significant milestone. The atmosphere was warm and celebratory, with faculty members, parents, and junior students gathering to offer their congratulations at “Lan Dok Peep,” the Faculty’s symbolic courtyard.
