KKU Faculty of Nursing Hosts Cap and Pinning Ceremony for Academic Year 2025, Welcoming New Graduates to the Profession

On Friday, 20 February 2026, the Faculty of Nursing at Khon Kaen University held its Cap and Pinning Ceremony for the academic year 2025. The event honoured the 52nd cohort of fourth-year students in the Bachelor of Nursing Science programme. Associate Professor Ampornpan Theeranut, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, presided over the ceremony, which took place at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University.

The ceremony was organised to bestow the “cap stripe” and the “institutional pin,” esteemed symbols signifying the completion of theoretical studies and the readiness of graduates to fully enter the nursing profession. The event began with the presentation of these items to the students, marking their knowledge, competence, and qualification for professional practice.

Associate Professor Ampornpan Theeranut remarked that the Cap and Pinning Ceremony not only celebrates academic achievement but also serves as a formal entrustment of the mission and steadfast commitment from one generation to the next. “It is to ensure that every nursing graduate recognises the importance of their role in dedicating themselves to the public’s health with knowledge, skill, and professional ethics,” she said. “The Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, is proud to provide society with high-quality nursing personnel who will contribute to strengthening the well-being of the nation.”

A key part of the ceremony was the rite of professional commitment, an important activity designed to instil and reinforce the ideals of the profession, the spirit of service with a human-centred heart, and social responsibility in all new graduates.

Following the formal proceedings, a group photograph was taken with the faculty members and the 52nd cohort of nursing graduates to capture this memorable and valuable achievement. The atmosphere was warm and filled with pride, with many faculty members, parents, and junior students joining to offer their congratulations at the “Lan Dok Peep,” the faculty’s significant courtyard.
