Khon Kaen University Joins Vietnamese Tet Festival Celebration to Strengthen 50 Years of Thai-Vietnamese Diplomatic Relations

On 12 February 2026, Khon Kaen University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, together with Associate Professor Dr. Niyom Wongpongkham, Vice President for Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Assistant Professor Dr. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, as well as deans and representatives from the College of Local Administration, International College, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Architecture, and Graduate School of Management, honoured the “Homeland Spring Festival 2026” or Vietnamese Tet Festival. The event was organised by the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Khon Kaen Province and held at the VT Nem Nuong Community Convention Hall in Udon Thani Province.

The event was held under the theme “Celebrating the Party, Celebrating the Spring, and Celebrating 50 Years of Vietnam-Thailand Diplomatic Relations,” marking a significant milestone of friendship and cooperation between the two countries over five decades. Representatives from various sectors attended the event, reflecting the strong collaboration and good relations between Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in cultural, economic, social, and educational dimensions.

Khon Kaen University’s participation highlights its role as a leading higher education institution in the region, committed to promoting international cooperation and ongoing academic exchange. This celebration of the 50th anniversary of Thai-Vietnamese diplomatic relations serves as an important milestone to further develop collaboration in education, research, and sustainable development in the future.
