The Secondary School Section (Faculty of Education) of Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (KKU Demonstration School) has brought national acclaim to the institution at the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Thailand Championship 2025. Team Dinonaut #27572 secured the top honour, the 1st Inspire Award, along with the Royal Trophy bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, The Princess Debaratanarajasuda, the Siam Boromrajakumari. This achievement marks a significant milestone for KKU Demonstration School on the national technology stage.
The FIRST Tech Challenge Thailand Championship 2025 was held from 8 to 11 December 2025 at Prince Royal’s College, Chiang Mai Province. The competition featured 32 teams from across the nation. Team Dinonaut #27572 demonstrated outstanding potential in engineering, innovation, and teamwork, winning the Winning Alliance Captain award (first place in the robotics competition as an Alliance Captain) and the Best Engineering Notebook award for their systematic documentation of the engineering process.

These achievements resulted in the team earning the highest overall score in the competition and their selection to represent Thailand at the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship in the United States in April 2026.
Team Dinonaut #27572 comprises ten students: Mr. Siwatnat Saengsuwan, Mr. Wachirawit Arayasatphong, and Mr. Trin Chanavirawan (Mathayom 5/Year 11 students); Mr. Pitchapha Triyangkurasee (Mathayom 5/Year 11 student); Mr. Teeraprat Sachaphong, Mr. Supparuj Vorathanaphong, and Mr. Anawil Sawatphanich (Mathayom 4/Year 10 students); and Master Nattavat Buranmaitri, Miss Ploy Chompoo Fuangchan, and Miss Benyapha Sawatphanich (Mathayom 2/Year 8 students).

Meanwhile, KHONFUZION #32713, a rookie team from the KKU Demonstration School Secondary Section (Faculty of Education), performed commendably in their debut year. The team ranked 5th out of 32 teams in the qualification rounds and advanced to the playoffs as an Alliance Captain, clearly reflecting the high calibre of KKU Demonstration School students.

Team KHONFUZION #32713 consists of fourteen students: Mr. Ariya Jakpeng, Miss Patarasaya Siridechchai, Miss Sirinda Khamtanit, Mr. Teeratham Horprasertwong, Mr. Phonawat Rueangjiraphot, Mr. Chayapol Niamkul, and Miss Punyanuch Saeiao (Mathayom 4/Year 10 students); Master Napatdol Ubolkaew, Miss Patamaporn Saeiao, and Master Atom Tanwanichkul (Mathayom 2/Year 8 students); Miss Lapatsrada Paitafong and Miss Pinyada Chaiyasura (Mathayom 1/Year 7 students); and Miss Jasmine Suppalak Taylor (Mathayom 1/Year 7 student).


This success underscores the quality of teaching and learning management at the KKU Demonstration School Secondary Section (Faculty of Education), which focuses on developing students’ STEM skills, engineering mindset, and collaborative capabilities. The achievement aligns with Khon Kaen University’s mission to nurture young people into high-quality innovators and to drive societal progress through innovation at an international level.
