Khon Kaen University (KKU) has released the official schedule for the rehearsals and the 2025 Royal Graduation Ceremony, which will be held from 18–19 December 2025 at the Golden Jubilee Convention Centre, Khon Kaen University. All graduates must report and participate in the required rehearsals on the dates and times specified by the university. Failure to attend these mandatory sessions will result in the forfeiture of the right to attend the Royal Graduation Ceremony.

Important Schedule Details

    • Afternoon Session: For graduates attending the Royal Ceremony on 19 December 2025.
    • Note: Graduates must wear their actual academic gowns and strictly adhere to all dress code regulations during the full dress rehearsal.

  1. Royal Graduation Ceremony:

    • 18 December 2025: Graduates must assemble along the road in front of the Convention Centre, facing Si Than Road, at 07:00 hrs.
    • 19 December 2025: Graduates must assemble along the road in front of the Convention Centre, facing Si Than Road, at 06:00 hrs.
    • Graduates must pass through the screening point before entering the main ceremony area. They will undergo checks on the neatness of their gowns, hairstyles, and name verification before the procession commences.

Guidelines for Academic Gown Care

  1. Washing Prohibition: Do not wash the gown, as this may damage the embedded RFID card. Instead, use a toothbrush dipped in soapy water to gently scrub soiled areas, such as the inside of the collar, and then hang to dry.
  2. Ironing Caution: Do not directly iron the gold band, as this may cause the material to melt.
  3. Storage: Store the gown away from direct sunlight to prevent fading and discolouration.
  4. Preparation: Upon receipt, remove the academic gown from the plastic bag and store it in a garment cover or hang it immediately to allow any creases or folds to relax.

Important Precautions

  1. RFID Card: Do not wash the gown, as the RFID card is embedded in both ends of the gown. Washing will lead to card damage.
  2. Handling: Do not fold, bend, or crease the ends of the gown where the RFID card is located, as this will prevent the card reader from correctly processing the graduate’s information.
