KKU Museum Welcomes Trainees from the 68th Assistant Prosecutor Training Programme

On 11 November 2025, from 14.00–16.00 hrs., the Museum and Lifelong Learning Centre, Khon Kaen University, under the Vice Presidency for Enterprise and Societal Sustainability, welcomed a delegation from the Public Prosecution Official Training Institute, Office of the Attorney General of Thailand. The delegation visited the Natural History Museum, Khon Kaen University (KKU Museum) as part of the Assistant Prosecutor Training Programme, 68th Cohort.

On this occasion, the Museum and Lifelong Learning Centre had the honour of receiving Professor Thidarut Boonmars, D.V.M., Ph.D., Vice President for Enterprise and Societal Sustainability, who delivered a welcoming address and a special lecture. The lecture highlighted the operations of the Natural History Museum as a key institution in the conservation of plant genetics and living organisms under the Royal Initiative Project for the Conservation of Plant Genetic Resources (RSPG Project), established by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

The Public Prosecution Official Training Institute recognised the Natural History Museum at Khon Kaen University as an important learning resource that plays a crucial role in driving the conservation of natural resources and genetic diversity. The museum’s mission aligns with efforts to preserve plant, animal, and microorganism species, as well as to disseminate scientific knowledge to society and the wider community.

This study visit aimed to foster understanding of the Natural History Museum’s role in the sustainable conservation and utilisation of biological resources. It also provided opportunities for trainees to exchange perspectives and explore potential collaboration supporting future work in environmental affairs and sustainable development.

The Museum and Lifelong Learning Centre, Khon Kaen University, extends its sincere appreciation to the Public Prosecution Official Training Institute, Office of the Attorney General of Thailand, for honouring the Centre with their visit and contributing to the exchange of valuable knowledge.
