The Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University (KKU), extends its sincere congratulations to Dr. Chanon Boonyuam, an alumnus from the 34th generation of the Faculty of Dentistry, for receiving the First Runner-Up Award in the academic competition at the 2025 Annual Academic Conference.
The conference was organised by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Thailand and held at the Centara Grand at CentralWorld Hotel, Bangkok.
Dr. Boonyuam’s award-winning academic work is titled “Translucency and masking ability of universal-shade and universal opaque-shade resin composite: Immediate and After thermocycle aging.”
This research investigated the properties of translucency and the colour-masking capability of universal-shade and universal opaque-shade resin composite restorative materials, analysing their performance both immediately and after undergoing the thermocycle aging process. This study holds significant importance for the continued development of dental restorative materials, ensuring high quality and improved aesthetic outcomes.
The Faculty of Dentistry is exceptionally proud of this achievement, which clearly reflects the potential of its alumni to bring honour and recognition to the Faculty and Khon Kaen University at the national level.
