Khon Kaen University has issued an announcement detailing temporary traffic regulations to facilitate the “SMD Family Running For Fun 2025 – RUN TO REMEMBER” charity run. The event, organized by the Parents and Teachers Association of Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (Modindaeng), is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025.
The run aims to foster stronger relationships among parents, students, teachers, and alumni of the Demonstration School, promoting unity and physical well-being. To ensure the safety and smooth operation of the event, traffic will be temporarily adjusted from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM on the day of the run, specifically around the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (Modindaeng) campus.
Key traffic changes include:
- Road Closure at Building 7: The area in front of Building 7 at the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (Modindaeng) will be closed to traffic from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This location will serve as both the starting and finishing point for the runners.
- Phased Road Closures Along Race Routes: Temporary, phased closures will be implemented along the two race routes:
- The 5.3-kilometer run will commence at 6:30 AM.
- The 3.5-kilometer run will commence at 6:40 AM.
- Intersections Affected: Other road intersections that form part of the race routes, as detailed in an accompanying map, will also experience temporary closures. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and follow instructions from officials.
Participants and visitors are requested to park their vehicles in designated parking areas. Parking that obstructs traffic or encroaches on green spaces or public parks is strictly prohibited.
The Khon Kaen University Protection and Security Division will deploy personnel to manage traffic and ensure safety in accordance with these regulations.
