KHON KAEN – Students from the Faculty of Economics at Khon Kaen University (KKU) have been recognised with the “Outstanding Student Activist” award for their significant contributions to extracurricular activities and community service. The awards were presented during the “KKU EGGS DAY: Student Synergy Day” event on 14 March 2026.
The event, held at the Prachak Pua-Permpoonsiri Auditorium in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, was organized by the university’s Division of Student Development and Alumni Relations. The awards aim to honor students who demonstrate exceptional performance in activities alongside their academic studies, possess a strong sense of public service, and contribute positively to the community.

Associate Professor Dr. Sutin Wianwiwat, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, congratulated the award-winning students, who are members of the Student Council and Student Club. “This achievement shows that our economics students not only excel academically but also possess public spirit, leadership, and strong teamwork skills,” he stated.
The Dean emphasised that the faculty is committed to developing well-rounded graduates with both academic knowledge and essential life skills. “Receiving this university-level award affirms our success in cultivating students with the comprehensive competencies required for the modern workforce and for contributing to society,” he added.
The “Outstanding Student Activist” award recognises students for demonstrating key competencies in three main areas: leadership, teamwork, and social responsibility. It highlights their ability to effectively lead projects, collaborate creatively with others, and show a consistent commitment to public service.
The Faculty of Economics expressed its pride in the students’ accomplishments and encouraged them to continue their dedication to both their studies and activities, aiming to further develop themselves and bring honour to the faculty and the University.
