Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Thailand, recently organized a special lecture titled “U.S. Constitution Day Celebration & America 250 Campaign.” The event, held on September 17, 2025, aimed to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution Day.
The lecture, co-hosted by the university’s International Affairs Division and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, sought to enhance understanding of civic rights, roles, and responsibilities. It also focused on promoting critical thinking and the ability to convey ideas on an international stage.
Ms. Nora Khatcherian, Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer, along with other representatives from the U.S. Embassy, served as speakers for the event. Assistant Dean for International Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Dararat Kamphusan of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, delivered the opening remarks. Over 100 students and participants attended the lecture, which took place at the Smart Classroom within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Assistant Professor Dr. Dararat Kamphusan emphasized that the activity was more than just an academic learning opportunity. She highlighted its role as a global citizen platform, enabling Thai students to practice communication, exchange ideas, and build international networks. This initiative, she noted, reflects the role of the new generation as global citizens and strengthens educational soft power, fostering lasting friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
