Khon Kaen University Unites Alumni Network to Plan 62nd Anniversary Homecoming

Khon Kaen University (KKU), in collaboration with the KKU Alumni Association, hosted an alumni network seminar on August 24, 2025, to strengthen relationships and begin preparations for a major homecoming event celebrating the university’s 62nd anniversary. The event, held at the Bayasita Hotel, gathered university executives and alumni leaders from faculty, provincial, and regional chapters.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Somchai Suriyakrai, Secretary-General of the Alumni Association, explained that the seminar served as a platform for alumni to connect, exchange ideas, receive updates on university policies, and collaboratively plan the upcoming “Rao Rak Mor Khor” (We Love KKU) homecoming celebration.

Mr. Morakot Pitharat, President of the KKU Alumni Association, presented the association’s mission to create a closely-knit network that actively supports the university’s strategic goals. He also highlighted other ongoing initiatives, such as a fitness-for-scholarships program, educational fundraising drives, and regional events aimed at building a strong and sustainable alumni community.

In her opening address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pensri Charoenwanich, Vice President for Student Affairs and Innovation Commercialization, emphasized the critical role of alumni, describing them as a valuable resource and a key driving force for the university’s future. She outlined several ways alumni can contribute, including professional and academic networking, mentoring current students, supporting research and innovation, and mobilizing resources for development.

The seminar marks a significant starting point for unifying the “Mor Din Daeng” alumni community in preparation for the 62nd-anniversary celebration, which is anticipated to be a major demonstration of alumni support for Khon Kaen University’s continued progress.
