On May 18 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Kornchawal Chaipah, Assistant Dean for Digital Strategy at the Graduate School, Khon Kaen University, officially opened the Knowledge Management (KM) workshop titled “Smart Officer with Vibe Coding: Transforming Routine Work into AI-Powered Software Without Coding” at Meeting Room 1, 4th Floor, Phimon Konlakit Building. The workshop featured expert speakers Mr. Aphichet Boonjuang, Head of Academic Services; Ms. Thanida Phaengsri, Head of Administration, Planning and Quality Development; and Acting Sub Lt. Chananwat Chainiranandjit. A total of 30 staff members participated in the program.
The initiative was organized in response to the growing need for AI adoption amid rapid digital disruption, enabling organizations to improve operational efficiency through emerging technologies. Participants were introduced to the concept of “Vibe Coding” — using natural language to communicate with AI in order to create software and workflow automation through no-code and low-code approaches, without requiring programming expertise. The workshop also provided hands-on experience in designing practical digital tools to streamline routine tasks while strengthening digital competencies toward becoming highly capable Smart Officers. At the end of the program, representatives from each department presented AI-powered digital solutions tailored to their operational needs.
The Graduate School expects the workshop to generate at least 10 automated work systems that will help reduce routine workloads and allow staff to focus more on strategic initiatives. The program marks another important step toward becoming a Smart Organization capable of delivering greater efficiency and enhanced services for students and faculty members.
