Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Technology Hosts Student Excellence Forum

KHON KAEN – The Faculty of Technology at Khon Kaen University hosted its “TE SEF (Student Excellence Forum) 2026” on Friday, March 20, 2026, providing a platform for students to showcase their academic projects and prepare for their professional careers. The event, held in conjunction with an orientation for graduating seniors, took place at the faculty’s Fueng Fah Hall.

The forum was presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Araya Chaoruangrit, Dean of the Faculty of Technology. In her opening remarks, she emphasized the event’s significance, stating, “This is a crucial day for the Faculty of Technology… The cooperative education and special projects that students have undertaken are not just part of the curriculum, but are the most valuable learning processes, as students have proven themselves in the real world of work.”

The all-day event was designed to allow students, particularly fourth-year students nearing graduation, to present their academic work from special projects and cooperative education programs. According to Associate Professor Dr. Wimontip Singtho, Associate Dean for Education, Digital, and Student Affairs, the goal was to inspire students, build their confidence, and prepare them for future employment.

The morning session featured oral presentations from students across the faculty’s four main disciplines: Biotechnology, Food Technology, Production Technology, and Geotechnology. In the afternoon, students presented their work in a poster session.

A key feature of the afternoon was a special lecture titled “The Essential Use of AI for Future Work,” delivered by Chollada Wongsin from Khon Kaen University’s Office of Digital Technology.

The event concluded with a farewell ceremony for the graduating class, where faculty administrators and professors offered guidance and advice. The ceremony culminated in the “Best TE 2026” awards presentation, recognizing the top student from each discipline.
