Queen Sirikit Heart Center Ignites CPR Lifesaving Skills at KKU Faculty of Public Health

On 18 March 2026, an atmosphere of energy and determination filled the room as second-year students from the Occupational Health and Environment programme, Faculty of Public Health, Khon Kaen University, participated in a training workshop on basic life support (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). This was more than a classroom lecture; it was a hands-on simulation that guided students through every critical step, from assessing scene safety and evaluating a patient to making a proper emergency call, performing CPR, and using an AED with precision.

The training was led by the QSHC CPR team from the Queen Sirikit Heart Center, whose expert instructors delivered intensive, interactive, and engaging instruction. They created a dynamic learning environment that strengthened participants’ confidence and readiness to respond effectively in real emergency situations.

This initiative, a collaboration between the Faculty of Public Health, Khon Kaen University, and the Queen Sirikit Heart Center, not only equips students with essential lifesaving skills but also fosters a new generation of responsible and capable responders prepared to act in critical situations.
