KKU Faculty of Dentistry Celebrates National Awards for Operational Excellence

KHON KAEN – The Faculty of Dentistry at Khon Kaen University (KKU) held a celebratory event on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, to honor its recent achievement of two prestigious national awards recognizing its world-class management standards.

The faculty was awarded the 2025 Thailand Quality Class Plus: Operation (TQC Plus Operation) award, a category within the esteemed Thailand Quality Award framework. This award acknowledges organizations with outstanding operational management. Additionally, the faculty’s dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Achirawut Suppasan, received the Leadership Excellence Award for 2025.

The event was attended by university executives, faculty members, staff, and students, creating an atmosphere of pride and collaboration.

Associate Professor Dr. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, congratulated the faculty, stating that the Thailand Quality Award is a mark of honor for organizations that demonstrate balanced and comprehensive management on par with international standards.

“This success reflects the quality and strength of the organization,” said President Charnchai. “It establishes the faculty as a role model that can share its development approaches with stakeholders, assuring them of high-quality care and service.” He added that the award confirms the faculty’s effective management, competitive capabilities, and resilience to change.

Assistant Professor Dr. Achirawut Suppasan, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, explained that the faculty’s goal is to be “the best dental school for everyone.” He noted that this vision is pursued by applying the criteria of the Thailand Quality Award and education quality standards to design, develop, and continuously improve all operational systems.

The Dean highlighted that this achievement builds on a previous award, the 2021 TQC Plus People award, which recognized the faculty’s excellence in human resource management. “The latest TQC Plus Operation award demonstrates the strength of our personnel, our organizational culture, and our standardized operational systems that lead to excellence,” he said.

Dr. Achirawut expressed his gratitude to the university, advisors, and all faculty staff for their collective effort and dedication. “I am proud to be a part of the Faculty of Dentistry and believe that if we continue to work together with love and dedication, we can truly make this the best dental school for everyone,” he concluded.

The Thailand Quality Award is recognized as a key tool for organizations to improve performance, enhance competitiveness, and achieve sustainable growth. Winning organizations are considered national role models that inspire development across various sectors, contributing to the country’s overall economic and social progress.
