On 28 February 2026, Khon Kaen University, through its Science Park, held the 14th annual university-level “Research to Market (R2M)” competition for the year 2026. The event took place at the Northeast Science Park (Khon Kaen) building.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Mrs. Roongtip Sarawong, Deputy Director for Administration of KKU Science Park. The competition attracted undergraduate and graduate students from the College of Graduate Study in Management, the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Nursing, and Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC).
The judging committee comprised three distinguished experts:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teerawat Charoenrat, a lecturer from the Faculty of Economics, Khon Kaen University.
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Peerapong Wongthahan, a lecturer from the Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University.
- Mr. Santhiti Boonsri, President of Deeprom Wittaya Co., Ltd.
Competition Results:
Winner: Team: Brainstorm Bros (from the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy) Prize: 10,000 Baht and a certificate of honour.
First Runner-Up: Team: Start with Y (from the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy) Prize: 7,000 Baht and a certificate of honour.
.Second Runner-Up: Team: Yogazzy (from the Faculty of Technology) Prize: 5,000 Baht and a certificate of honour.
Honourable Mentions (Two awards): Prizes: 2,500 Baht each and a certificate of honour.
- Team: ‘Maichai Kung Tae Phae Jat’ (from the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy and Khon Kaen University International College (KKUIC))
- Team: Bittersweet (from the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy)
These five winning teams will represent Khon Kaen University and proceed to the second and third Boot Camp sessions to further develop and perfect their feasibility plans. They will be preparing for the northeastern regional competition, scheduled to be held in June 2026 at Ubon Ratchathani University.
