On 11 February 2026, a six-member executive delegation from the Library of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, People’s Republic of China, paid an official visit to the Khon Kaen University Library and was warmly welcomed by Associate Professor Dr. Supat Sinawat, Director of the Library, together with the administrative team.
The visit aimed to explore potential academic collaboration and promote knowledge exchange between the two institutions. During the programme, the delegation toured several of the Library’s innovative service platforms, including the KKU Research Hub, AI Clinic, GMS Wisdom Hub, and the “Learning through Metaverse Experience” initiative. They also observed a “Living Classroom” activity that demonstrates the integration of digital technology into active learning environments.
The delegation received a briefing on the Library’s strategic transformation from a conventional reading space into a modern “Learning Center for All.” This shift reflects its role as an intellectual hub and a regional leader in digital library development, supported by innovative services and technology-enhanced learning solutions.
The meeting marks a significant starting point for building an international network in library and information science. Future collaborative activities may include personnel exchanges, joint research projects, and the development of new information management innovations beneficial to the library sectors in both countries.
The KKU Library stated it was honored to host the delegation and is ready to support a strong partnership with the Library of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to advance professional standards and build a lasting relationship.
