The Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, successfully organised practical training workshops titled “Generative AI for Enhanced Official Work Performance,” Series 1 and 2, held on 15–16 December 2025 at the Faculty of Engineering.

The primary objective of the programme was to enhance digital competency and strengthen adaptive capacity among government officials, enabling them to respond effectively to the rapid transformation of the digital era. Assistant Professor Panupong Wanjantuk, Assistant Dean for Academic Services and Technology Transfer, provided institutional support and actively participated in the activities.

The workshops attracted strong interest from government officials and staff representing various public organisations throughout Khon Kaen province, with over 78 participants attending the two events. Attendees had the opportunity to engage in hands-on workshops, exchange ideas, and participate in collaborative discussions. This practical approach enhanced their comprehension and opened new perspectives regarding the application of digital technology in their operational duties.

The training focused on building knowledge, understanding, and skills necessary for government officials to appropriately and effectively apply Generative AI in their work. Key applications included drafting and summarising essential documents, data analysis, supporting decision-making processes, and enhancing overall workflow efficiency. These advancements are expected to lead to the improvement of public sector quality of work and the provision of efficient and sustainable services to the general public.
