Faculty of Dentistry, KKU, Participates in DFCT 2025 Academic Conference, Opening the World of Digital Innovation to Elevate Thai Dentistry for the Future

The Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University (KKU), led by Assistant Professor Ajiravudh Subarnbhesaj, Ph.D., the Dean, along with an executive team, academic staff, and students, participated in the 22nd International Scientific Conference of the Dental Faculty Consortium of Thailand (DFCT 2025).

The conference was held under the theme, “Digital Technology and Innovation for Future Dentistry,” from 12–14 November 2025, at the Kantary Hotel Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The event was jointly hosted by Suranaree University of Technology and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.

 

The primary objective of this international conference was to present technological advances and innovations in dentistry. This was achieved through academic lectures and research presentations by undergraduate and postgraduate dental students covering critical topics, including:

  • Digital innovations for dental treatment
  • New technology for diagnosing oral cancer
  • Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in dental treatment, teaching, and learning
  • Empathetic education
 

 

 
 

During the conference, Assistant Professor Ajiravudh Subarnbhesaj, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University, served as a keynote speaker for the “Student feedback and discussion” session. He was joined by Assistant Professor Supachai Chuenjitwongsa, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University, and Assistant Professor Supontep Teerakanok, of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prince of Songkla University.

The atmosphere of the event facilitated intensive knowledge exchange, opening new perspectives for dental professionals and providing inspiration for developing research projects and advancing future academic collaborations. Crucially, the conference served as a vital platform to connect the dental faculties from institutions across the country, enabling them to collectively push the development of Thai dentistry to keep pace with the digital era and better address the challenges of the future.
