KKU Faculty of Engineering Makes History as Thailand’s First Recipient of the ASOCIO Talent Development Award 2025, Reinforcing International Leadership in IT-Enabled Organisational Development

 

On 11 November 2568 (2025), at the Sheraton Grand Taipei Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan, the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University (KKU), was honoured with the ASOCIO Talent Development Award 2025. This prestigious award was bestowed by the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organisation (ASOCIO), an international federation uniting IT industry associations and service providers from 24 countries across the Asia–Oceania region.

The ASOCIO Talent Development Award is highly respected, presented only to organisations that demonstrate exceptional systematic utilisation of Information Technology (IT) to develop their organisation and personnel. Recipients must show tangible success and create significant social and economic value through these efforts.

Notably, in 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, was selected as the sole organisation from Thailand to receive this award. This recognition underscores the Faculty’s unwavering commitment to developing staff capacity and management systems using advanced technology, driving the university’s transition towards becoming a sustainable digital organisation.

On this significant occasion, Assoc. Prof. Ratchaphon Suntivarakorn, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, represented the Faculty to accept the honorary award at the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2025, which took place from 10–12 November 2025. The event gathered technology leaders from numerous countries to exchange knowledge and strategies for organisational development in the digital age.

This award is another source of great pride for Khon Kaen University, reaffirming the Faculty of Engineering’s role as a leader in cultivating high-calibre personnel and effectively applying technology to enhance education and organisational management at an international level.

Dean Suntivarakorn expressed his honour and deep pride that the Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University, had achieved such international recognition. He remarked, “This award is not merely a marker of our organisational success; it reflects the dedication of all lecturers, staff, and students who have continuously collaborated to drive development using technology. Our constant goal has been to create learning systems and an environment conducive to human potential development, preparing our people to embrace the changes of the digital world.”

He concluded, “We believe that people are the core of development, and technology is the driving force that ensures our university grows sustainably. Therefore, this award serves as both encouragement and inspiration for us to further develop and extend innovations in education, research, and academic services, creating benefits for the nation and the region in the future.”
