On June 20, 2024, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with its network partners, student councils, student organizations, student clubs of various faculties, the Khon Kaen University Arts and Culture Center, the Student Development Division, the Gender Studies Center, and other support networks organized the Isaan Pride 2024 project under the theme “Proud to be Pride”. The objectives are to raise awareness of the rights of sexual diversity and gender equality, to be a space for expression and exchange of ideas among the sexual diversity group, especially Khon Kaen University students, and to create a network of cooperation with agencies both inside and outside the university that work or give importance to issues related to sexual diversity. There are various forms of activities. We were honored to have Asst. Prof. Dr. K.P., Kuru Satsana Khanhan, Acting Vice President for Student Development and Alumni Relations, give an opening speech, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oratai Phiayura, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, give a project report. More than 3,000 personnel, students, and the general public attended the event at the Royal Graduation Pavilion (former), Khon Kaen University, “Gender Studies Center”, Khon Kaen University, a center for networks of partners to drive equality. The “Gender Studies Center” was established with the objective of being a center for gender studies education, research, and teaching, as well as disseminating knowledge to society.
