On September 19, 2020, Mr. Sattha Kochaplayuk, Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen Province, along with Associate Professor Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, welcomed Mr. Kobchai Sangsitthisawat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, along with executives and officials of the Ministry of Industry on the occasion of studying at the Science Park and visiting the Lithium-Ion Battery Prototype Plant and the Food Pilot Plant at the Northeast Science Park Administration Building (Khon Kaen Province). The executives and researchers of Khon Kaen University gave lectures on the following topics: “Promoting research and innovation for commercial use” by Associate Professor Thidarat Boonmas, Vice President for Innovation and Enterprise; “Overview of the Khon Kaen University Science Park and the Food Pilot Plant Project” by Dr. Apirat Wongsiriworapol, Director of the Science Park; and “Operation of the Lithium-Ion Battery Prototype Plant Project” by Associate Professor Witthaya Amornbamrungkit, Director of the Nano Research and Innovation Institute for Energy, and Associate Professor Nonglak Meethong, Head of the Lithium-Ion Battery Prototype Plant Project.
On August 22, 2020, Khon Kaen University, led by Professor Thidarat Boonmas, Vice President for Innovation and Enterprise, together with Dr. Apirat Wongsriworapol, Director of Science Park, Associate Professor Witthaya Amornkitbamrung, Acting Director of Nanomaterials for Energy Research and Innovation Institute, lecturers, researchers, and personnel were assigned by Associate Professor Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President, to welcome and present the operations of Khon Kaen University in research and development to the House of Representatives Affairs Committee.
