Valentine's Day Rice Festival 2025 at KKU! Continuing the traditions of the third month, adding love through Isan culture
On Tuesday, February 13, 2025, the Arts, Culture and Creative Economy Division and the Arts and Culture Center, Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with the Khon Kaen Provincial Cultural Office and the Arts and Culture Network, continued the Isan cultural traditions through the activity of 'Boon Khao Jee Valentine' (Adding Love to Boon Khao Jee, the Way of Boon Duan Sam) with Mr. Prachuap Rakphaet, Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen Province, presiding over the warm opening ceremony at the Si Than Lake, Khon Kaen University. Prof. Dr. Niyom Wongpongkham, Vice President for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, stated that today's activities were carried out under the Boon Khao Jee Valentine's Day project and the 1 District 1 Creative Square activity promotion project for fiscal year 2025 by combining the Isan tradition of making Khao Jee with the Valentine's Day festival to jointly continue the Isan cultural traditions following the 12 Kong 14 Heet in the event "Heet Boon Duan Sam" along with promoting the mechanism to drive the potential of local cultural capital to be tangible.
