On Monday, October 21, 2024, the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, joined the wreath-laying ceremony to pay homage to Her Majesty Queen Srinagarindra the Queen Mother on the occasion of National Nurses Day 2024 to honor and commemorate the great kindness of Her Majesty Queen Srinagarindra the Queen Mother who devoted herself to the development of the health and well-being of the people, especially in remote rural areas, and her immeasurable compassion for the nursing and midwifery professions. The ceremony was chaired by Mr. Kraisorn Kongchalad, Governor of Khon Kaen Province, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ampornphan Thiranut, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, executives, students of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, representatives from agencies in the Ministry of Public Health, health professional councils, hospitals, and nursing educational institutions, presidents of associations/clubs, the Nurses Association of Thailand, Northeastern Branch Office, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saowamas Khunlan Theunnadee, who laid wreaths and paid homage at the Royal Monument, Srinagarind Hospital.
