Prof. Dr. Niyom Wongphongkham, Vice President of Khon Kaen University, Mr. Thirasak Thikayuphan, Mayor of Khon Kaen Municipality, and Mr. Sumet Sak Pholam, President of the Morlam Rueang Tor Klon Club, jointly held a press conference on the organization of the Morlam Festival to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Khon Kaen University. The event aims to support local Isan Morlam artists and to encourage the new generation to understand and access Isan music. The band managers, artists, singers, and dancers from famous Morlam bands in the Isan region, such as Nok Noi Uraiporn, Por Eh-Tao Yong Rabiab Watsin, Boy Sirichai Morlam Jai Keun Roi, Sao Noi Phet Ban Phaeng, and Rung Siam Watsin, also joined the press conference.
