On Wednesday 21 August 2014, at Convention Room 2, Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Center, Khon Kaen University, represented by the Research Division and Research Administration Division, organized the 2014 Sarasin Outstanding Researcher and Honorary Researcher Award ceremony. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phiwaphan Maleewong, Vice President for Research, gave a report and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, gave an opening speech. More than 250 award-winning researchers, their families, and executives attended the event. The atmosphere was warm. The Sarasin Outstanding Researcher and Honorary Researcher Awards are organized every year. This year is the 12th year. The winners of the awards are as follows: 2 Sarasin Honorary Researchers, 9 Diamond-level Outstanding Researchers, 8 Gold-level Outstanding Researchers, and 24 Silver-level Outstanding Researchers, for a total of 43 researchers.
