Prof. Monchai Duangjinda, Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, Khon Kaen University (Khon Kaen University), said at the academic seminar “Thinking and Dreaming Together to Develop Thai Hemp” organized by the Cannabis Research Institute, Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with the Research and Graduate Studies Division and the Research Administration Division, with Assoc. Prof. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, presiding over the opening ceremony recently that according to the establishment of the Cannabis Research Institute, Khon Kaen University has a main mission to conduct research projects on cannabis and hemp for medical benefits and related industries. It has received a license to produce (grow) hemp with a cultivation area of 1,664 square meters in the Vegetable Plants category, Horticulture Department, Faculty of Agriculture. The Cannabis Research Institute has received hemp seeds from the Highland Research and Development Institute (HRDI) to grow. The activity “Thinking Together, Dreaming Together, Creating Thai Hemp” today is because we see the importance of providing knowledge to personnel and the public.
