During August 17-18 and 24-25, 2024, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University organized the Khon Kaen Business School Intelligent Student Camp 2024 (KKBS Camp 2024). This year marks the 7th year of the event and has attracted the attention of 486 high school students nationwide who participated in the event. There were 6 courses: Management, Business and Logistics Skills and Knowledge Course; Tourism Innovation Management Skills and Knowledge Course (Thai Language Group); Tourism Innovation Management Skills and Knowledge Course (English Language Group); Accounting Skills and Knowledge Course; Financial and Financial Technology Skills and Knowledge Course; Digital Entrepreneurship Skills and Knowledge Course; and Marketing Technology Skills and Knowledge Course. KKBS Camp is a camp for high school students who are interested in studying courses at the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University. They can learn from real experiences through workshop activities with experts in each course and current alumni who provide advice to students through various activities that include important content about studying and living in the university, so that students can find what they like and the right career for their future. KKBS Upskill students, organize AI Strategies training to develop business strategies for Gen Z youth

On 22-23 August 2024, KKBS Career Excellence Centre (KKBS CEC), Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, organized a training session on the topic of “AI Strategies: Develop strategies for AI to do it instead”, honored by Mr. Jamikorn Phiwlaong, Director of Data Centre and IT Solution, Spectre C Company Limited, Founder of JBTechBuffet and Board Member of the Thai Website and Online Media Administrators Association, along with Mr. Thanawat Khemwatcharalert, Software Developer, BorntoDev Company Limited, and Ms. Kanokporn Kulsri, Chief Strategic Officer, Online Engineer Group Company Limited and Southeast Asia Young Business.

KKBS organizes a workshop “Khon Kaen Tourism in Digital Era” to join forces with the network to drive tourism in Khon Kaen Province in the digital era.

During August 21-22, 2024, the Asia Pacific Tourism Center (CAPTOUR), Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, organized the Khon Kaen Tourism in Digital Era: Networking, Strategic Planning and Academic Integration workshop at the Cheamkhwan Room, Bayasita Hotel, Khon Kaen Province. The workshop aimed to create a tourism network in Khon Kaen Province and drive tourism in Khon Kaen Province in the digital era. The participants were from educational institutions that teach tourism and services in Khon Kaen Province and interested persons from the private sector (Asst. Prof. Dr. Phongsutthi Phuensaen, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University). The workshop included a seminar on the topic of “Development of the Khon Kaen Tourism Industry in the Digital Era and the Strategic Plan for Tourism in Khon Kaen Province”, honored by the following distinguished speakers: Asst. KKBS presents Agriculture Technology concept at “DIGINEXT Ignite Isan Digital Hub” event, pushing the country towards a digital economy and society.

On August 16, 2024, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Phongsutthi Phuensaen, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, along with Dr. Witika Tangchan, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, and Dr. Aphasri Sothornwit, Lecturer of the Digital Entrepreneurship Program, led students to attend the “DIGINEXT: Ignite Isan Digital Hub” event to jointly present ideas for driving Agriculture Technology and welcomed Mr. Prasert Chantararuangthong, Acting Minister of Digital Economy and Society, on the occasion of listening to opinions and suggestions at Ad Lib Hotel (Kean Kaew, 28th floor), Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province (Assistant Professor Dr. Phongsutthi Phuensaen, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University). KKBS has been selected as an ASEAN model assessor for Travel Agencies – Tour Operation, driving ASEAN tourism professionals (ASEAN Tourism Professional).

On July 29 - August 9, 2024, lecturers of the Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Tourism Innovation Management, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, were selected by the Department of Tourism to attend the ASEAN Master Assessor (MA) training course under the Joint Agreement on the Recognition of ASEAN Tourism Personnel Qualifications for Fiscal Year 2024 at the Graph Hotel, Bangkok. In this training, a total of 12 people were selected to attend the training from a large number of applicants from tourism and hospitality education institutions nationwide. The qualifications of those selected to attend the training are to have completed the National Assessor training and have worked in the tourism and hospitality industry for at least 10 years. KKBS makes students' dreams come true by joining STARTUP x INNOVATION THAILAND EXPO 2024 to inspire them to expand their startup business.

During July 25-26, 2024, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, led by Dr. Witika Tangchan, Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, along with staff and students, participated in the STARTUP x INNOVATION THAILAND EXPO 2024: SITE 2024 study tour under the theme of “Innovation for Growth and Sustainability” held at the MHESI Fair: SCI-POWER FOR FUTURE THAILAND at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok. The event gathered leading startups and innovators from Thailand and international experts to update on global innovation trends, exchange knowledge, and inspire innovation development. In addition, there were Business Matching activities for startups and innovative entrepreneurs to develop ideas into innovative businesses, find business partners, negotiate business matching, and receive advice to help businesses grow. The purpose of this study tour was to open up new perspectives and inspire students interested in startup businesses, and to apply the knowledge they gained to future creations. KKBS enhances fire prevention and suppression skills for personnel and students in fiscal year 2024.

On July 30, 2024, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University organized the Fire Prevention and Suppression Project for the Fiscal Year 2024 at Room 1408, Building BS.01. The event was honored by Assistant Professor Dr. Phongsut Phuensaen, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, who presided over the opening ceremony of the project. Executives, lecturers, staff, and students also participated in the event. The event began with a lecture on “Khon Kaen University Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Policy” by Associate Professor Dr. Chuphong Thongkamsamut, Vice President for Physical and Environmental Affairs, followed by a lecture on “Fire Prevention and Suppression Measures” by Mr. Marakot Subin, Director of the Security Prevention and Suppression Division. Then, there was a lecture and training on “Basic First Aid” by a lecturer from the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Unit, Srinagarind Hospital, Khon Kaen University. Then, there was a lecture and training on “Basic Fire Prevention and Suppression Skills”, providing knowledge on cooking gas and cooking gas fire extinguishing by dissecting the components of fire, fire extinguishing plans and basic fire extinguishing methods, as well as survival techniques in emergencies. Mutelu: Dimensions of Belief in Traditional and Cultural Tourism

When it comes to tourism, many people may think of traveling to new places, relaxing in luxury hotels, or admiring beautiful nature. However, there is another dimension of tourism that is interesting and full of mystery, which is traditional and cultural tourism, which involves spiritual beliefs and various local rituals. One of them is “Mutelu”, a profound belief and fascinating rituals that are woven into the daily life of many communities. It is also a bridge connecting long-held traditions. Let’s explore the dimensions of Mutelu and experience the beauty of traditional and cultural tourism with Dr. Rina Thongthammachat, a lecturer in the Department of Tourism Innovation Management, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University, through this article. Today, “Mutelu” is a combination of Buddhist, Brahman, ghost worship, and mystical beliefs. and has become a belief that encourages believers to be successful in what they hope for, such as Mutel in work, finances and love (ThaiPBS, 2566). Belief in Mutel has its roots in faith in the spirits of ancestors and various sacred things that are respected in the local area, such as house ghosts, house ghosts and sky ghosts. The event was honored by Assistant Professor Dr. Phongsutthi Phuensaen, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, who gave an opening speech, along with lecturers, staff, and students. Mr. Thira Wirawong, Manager of EV Ecosystem, Ms. Saranya Chaturonratrasamee, Strategy and Business Development Division, Ms. Nutthira Intharit, Strategy and Business Development Division, Mr. Nattapol Chankeaw, Engineering and Operation Division, and expert speakers from OR Academy were honored to be speakers for this event.
