เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 10 เมษายน พ.ศ. 2568 เวลา 18.00 น. ณ วัดธาตุ พระอารามหลวง จังหวัดขอนแก่น รองศาสตราจารย์ นายแพทย์ชาญชัย พานทองวิริยะกุล อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัย ได้เข้าร่วม พิธีอัญเชิญพระศรีสัตนาคนหุต (หลวงพ่อพระลับ องค์จริง) ซึ่งจัดขึ้นภายใต้ โครงการนำฮอยศรัทธา แห่ขบวนอัญเชิญพระพุทธศรีสัตนาคนหุต เพื่อถวายเป็นพุทธบูชาในเทศกาลสงกรานต์ สืบสานประเพณีและศิลปวัฒนธรรมท้องถิ่น ในการนี้ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น โดยศูนย์ศิลปวัฒนธรรม ได้ร่วมกับวัดธาตุ พระอารามหลวง และหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ในการจัดขบวนแห่พระพุทธรูปศักดิ์สิทธิ์คู่บ้านคู่เมืองของชาวขอนแก่น โดยขบวนของมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นเข้าร่วมใน ส่วนต้นของขบวนราชรถพระศรีสัตนาคนหุต ซึ่งประกอบด้วย ขบวนฟ้อนฉลอง 500 ปี ลายลำบูชาโดยนักแสดงจำนวน 500 คน การประกอบพิธีเชิญพระเข้าสู่วัดโดยพราหมณ์ และการโปรยดอกไม้รอบราชรถพระศรีสัตนาคนหุตโดยแขกผู้มีเกียรติ ในช่วงเวลาสำคัญของพิธี อธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น ได้ร่วมประกอบพิธี โปรยดอกไม้รอบราชรถพระศรีสัตนาคนหุต ร่วมกับรองผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดขอนแก่น กงสุลใหญ่แห่งสาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยประชาชนลาวประจำขอนแก่น หัวหน้าส่วนราชการ และแขกผู้มีเกียรติ เพื่อเป็นการแสดงออกถึงความเคารพ ศรัทธา และความร่วมแรงร่วมใจในการอนุรักษ์ขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีอันดีงามของท้องถิ่น ทั้งนี้ มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่นให้ความสำคัญกับการบูรณาการด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมกับพันธกิจของมหาวิทยาลัย ในการส่งเสริมกิจกรรมที่เป็นการถ่ายทอดภูมิปัญญาและอัตลักษณ์ของชุมชนสู่สังคมอย่างยั่งยืน

เมื่อวันอาทิตย์ที่ 6 เมษายน 2568 ณ ห้องประชุมแก่นเมือง ศาลากลางจังหวัดขอนแก่น จังหวัดขอนแก่น ได้มีการจัดพิธีเนื่องใน “วันพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราช และวันที่ระลึกมหาจักรีบรมราชวงศ์” โดยมีนายไกรสร กองฉลาด ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดขอนแก่น เป็นประธานในพิธี พร้อมด้วยหัวหน้าส่วนราชการ หน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และประชาชนทั่วไปเข้าร่วมพิธีอย่างพร้อมเพรียง มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น นำโดย อาจารย์ณัฐสมล ธนกุลรังสฤษดิ์ รองอธิการบดีฝ่ายกฎหมายและสื่อสารองค์กร พร้อมบุคลากรกองสื่อสารองค์กร ในนามผู้แทนมหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น  เข้าร่วมพิธีเพื่อแสดงความจงรักภักดีและน้อมรำลึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของพระมหากษัตริย์ไทยทุกพระองค์ โดยในพิธีมีการวางพานพุ่มดอกไม้ การกล่าวถวายราชสดุดี พร้อมทั้งร่วมขับร้องเพลงสรรเสริญพระบารมีและเพลงสดุดีพระมหาราชาอย่างพร้อมเพรียง ความสำคัญของวันพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราช และวันที่ระลึกมหาจักรีบรมราชวงศ์ วันที่ 6 เมษายน ของทุกปี รัฐบาลกำหนดให้เป็น “วันพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราช” เพื่อรำลึกถึงพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธยอดฟ้าจุฬาโลกมหาราช (รัชกาลที่ 1) ผู้สถาปนากรุงรัตนโกสินทร์ขึ้นเป็นราชธานีในปี พ.ศ. 2325 และเป็นผู้เริ่มต้นราชวงศ์จักรี นอกจากนี้ ยังถือเป็น “วันที่ระลึกมหาจักรีบรมราชวงศ์” เพื่อเป็นการสดุดีและเทิดทูนพระเกียรติคุณของพระมหากษัตริย์ไทยทุกพระองค์ที่ทรงบำเพ็ญพระราชกรณียกิจอันเป็นคุณูปการต่อประเทศชาติอย่างหาที่เปรียบมิได้ พิธีในครั้งนี้จัดขึ้นอย่างสมพระเกียรติและเรียบร้อย เป็นการสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความสามัคคี ความเคารพในสถาบัน และจิตสำนึกในพระมหากรุณาธิคุณของพระมหากษัตริย์ไทยที่ฝังแน่นในหัวใจของประชาชนชาวไทยทุกคน

On March 5, 2025, the Khon Kaen Provincial Press Association organized the National Journalist and Mass Communication Day 2025 at the swimming pool area on the 4th floor of the Charoen Thani Hotel, Khon Kaen. The event was attended by media personnel and distinguished guests from various sectors. At 7:00 p.m., Lieutenant General Dr. Somchai Naen-udorn, the chairman of the ceremony, gave an opening speech, emphasizing the important role of the media in presenting correct, accurate, and beneficial news and information to society. He also expressed his appreciation for the media’s contribution to national development. Mr. Surachai Akharasiwarot, the founder of the Khon Kaen Provincial Press Association, reported on the objectives of this year’s event. Khon Kaen University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, spoke about the university’s role in developing communities and society. He also emphasized the university’s gratitude for the cooperation between the university and the media in disseminating knowledge to the public so that the public receives continuous, useful information. On this occasion, Khon Kaen University also provided financial support to the association to support the media’s work in disseminating correct and beneficial news to society.

On January 29, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President, along with the executive team of Khon Kaen University, traveled to present New Year 2025 gift baskets to personnel within the units of Srinagarind Hospital and Sirikit Heart Center, Northeastern Region, to give encouragement and morale to those on duty during the past New Year holidays. On January 14, 2025, Khon Kaen University organized the event “KKU Delivers Happiness to Media Networks” to express gratitude to the media for their important role in publicizing the university’s activities and achievements to the public at the Bayasita Hotel, Khon Kaen University. The event was honored by the executives of Khon Kaen University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Chanchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University; Associate Professor Dr. Niyom Wongpongkham, Vice President for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy; and Ms. Natsamol Thanakulrangsrit, Vice President for Law and Corporate Communications; along with executives, lecturers, and staff, who joined in welcoming and talking with the media in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The event was also honored by Mr. Chansit Fangchaiyaphum, President of the Association of Television Photographers and Reporters of Khon Kaen Province; Mr. Charoen Pengmoon, President of the Media Association for Tourism in Khon Kaen Province; and Mr. Charoenlak Phetpradab, President of the Media Association of Khon Kaen Province, who gave speeches expressing their feelings towards Khon Kaen University, along with local media from all branches joining the event, listening to presentations of the university’s achievements and achievements over the past year.
