MBA KKU Partners with GFGL to Launch “WVP 2026” to Cultivate Next-Generation Wellness Business Leaders, Driving the Health Economy with AI, Innovation, and Sustainability

The College of Graduate Study in Management at Khon Kaen University collaborated with GFGL to introduce the Wellness Visionary Mastering Executive Program (Batch 2), empowering Thai executives to capitalise on the rapidly expanding global wellness economy through four core pillars.

On 5 June 2026, the College of Graduate Study in Management at Khon Kaen University (MBA KKU), in collaboration with The Great Foresight The Global Leader (GFGL) centre, officially launched the “Wellness Visionary Mastering Executive Program: Batch 2” (WVP 2026). The programme aims to enhance the potential of Thai organisational leaders, preparing them to adapt to the rapidly expanding global wellness economy. The opening ceremony featured a special keynote address entitled “Global Wellness Landscape Trends and the Future of Thailand” by Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee, Chairman of the Khon Kaen University Council.

Dr. Narongchai Akrasanee  stated during his address that the Thailand wellness industry possesses a solid foundation because the domestic economy, wellness business sectors, and related investments are experiencing significant growth. He noted that Thailand has a rich wellness history spanning more than 130 years, which serves as a strong testament to its potential. Backed by a robust context of accommodations, hospitality infrastructure, and professional membership systems, the Chairman emphasised that wellness is highly viable as a sustainable commercial sector for Thailand, representing an excellent business opportunity for both the present and the future.

Dr. Sakchai Jarernsiripornkul, Dean of the College of Graduate Study in Management at Khon Kaen University, revealed that the modern wellness industry is no longer confined strictly to healthcare or medical businesses. Instead, it encompasses daily lifestyles, quality of life, technology, investments, and sustainable corporate development. Consequently, executives across all sectors require a refreshed vision for organisational management to establish a balance between economic growth, human well-being, and environmental responsibility. To address this need, Khon Kaen University, through the College of Graduate Study in Management, developed the WVP 2026 curriculum. The programme is specifically structured to enable senior executives, businesspeople, entrepreneurs, and organisational leaders to identify commercial opportunities within the wellness economy, translating theoretical knowledge into innovation and sustainable growth through four strategic pillars: GO HEALTH, GO DIGITAL & AI, GO CAPITAL, and GO GREEN.

The specific focus areas of the four pillars are defined as follows:

  • GO HEALTH: Focuses on building an understanding of global health economy trends, preventive medicine, holistic healthcare, and health technology innovations.

  • GO DIGITAL & AI: Aims to enhance operational capabilities by integrating digital technologies and artificial intelligence into modern corporate management and business development.

  • GO CAPITAL: Assists participants in understanding capital management strategies, fundraising mechanisms, and targeted investments geared toward expanding wellness enterprises.

  • GO GREEN: Promotes corporate development aligned with Green Growth frameworks, emphasizing environmental consciousness, efficient resource utilisation, and long-term sustainability.

Dr. Jarernsiripornkul added that alongside developing strategic knowledge and skills, the curriculum focuses on building collaborative networks among executives from the public, private, and academic sectors. These networks are designed to facilitate the exchange of experiences, forge business partnerships, and collectively elevate Thailand’s wellness industry to an international standard. The training schedule is set to run from 5 June to 4 July 2026, with learning sessions distributed across both Khon Kaen Province and Bangkok. The curriculum features lectures by distinguished experts, site visits, experiential sharing sessions, and networking activities designed for senior executives from diverse industrial backgrounds.

General Boonlyu Vongtaow, M.D., and Dr Jarernsiripornkul, the project organisers, expressed strong confidence that the WVP 2026 programme will serve as more than a standard executive development course. They envision it as a “platform for creating new visions” that enables Thai organisational leaders to drive their businesses through innovation, technology, and sustainability, while generating shared value for the economy, society, and environment in the long run. The training sessions for this batch will take place at the College of Graduate Study in Management at Khon Kaen University in Khon Kaen Province, and the Grand Richmond Hotel in Bangkok, supplemented by study visits to leading operational sites across the capital.
