KHON KAEN – On 1 May 2026, Khon Kaen University (KKU), through the Office of Academic Administration and Development, hosted the Presentation for International CWIE KKU for the second semester of the 2025 academic year. Held at The Heritage Grand Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention, the forum provided a platform for students to present learning outcomes gained from real-world professional experiences abroad under the International Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE) framework.
The project was established to enhance student potential and global readiness by integrating academic study with practical work within international organisations. This year, the programme saw participation from 93 students who completed placements at 39 partner enterprises across 10 countries, including Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Japan, Lao PDR, the Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, and Hungary.
During the event, Associate Professor Wanwipa Kaewpradit Polpinit, Ph.D., stated: “The International CWIE KKU Presentation serves as a vital mechanism reflecting the success of our work-integrated learning model on an international scale. Students do not only gain academic knowledge; they develop essential language skills, communication abilities, cross-cultural adaptability, and genuine professional experience. This forum is more than just a presentation of work; it is a space for growth that elevates student potential to become a key workforce for the nation on the global stage. It tangibly demonstrates Khon Kaen University’s role in driving Thai education towards international excellence.”
The forum highlighted the significance of experiential learning in fostering high-calibre graduates capable of navigating diverse cultural and professional landscapes. By competing for top honours in project presentations and creative content, students showcased their ability to translate complex international experiences into impactful professional insights.
Through the continuous expansion of its international network, Khon Kaen University reaffirms its commitment to its strategic mission of global engagement. By bridging the gap between the classroom and the global industry, the university ensures its students are equipped with the competitive edge necessary to contribute effectively to society and the global economy in the 21st century.
