KKU Office of Academic Administration and Development Showcases CWIE Excellence in Northern Region, Strengthening Work-Integrated Learning Success

CHIANG MAI – On 1 May 2026, the Office of Academic Administration and Development at Khon Kaen University (KKU) participated in the Upper North CWIE Day 2026. The event served as a collaborative platform for exchanging knowledge and elevating the standards of Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE). The KKU delegation, comprising over 40 staff members, was led by Assistant Professor Piyawat Saipan, Ph.D., Director of the Office of Academic Administration and Development. Hosted by Chiang Mai University, the forum took place at The Grand Chaiyapreuk Hotel Chiang Mai.

During the event, Assistant Professor Saipan delivered a presentation detailing Khon Kaen University’s systematic approach to CWIE. His presentation highlighted the university’s strategic progress and the outcomes achieved in preparing students for the professional world. Key themes included curricula linked to domestic and international enterprises, the expansion of industrial networks, and the development of mechanisms for experiential learning in international contexts—a cornerstone for graduate quality in the 21st century.

Assistant Professor Piyawat Saipan, Ph.D., Director of the Office of Academic Administration and Development, stated that a defining strength of Khon Kaen University is its ability to balance academic knowledge with professional skills. This integration ensures that students possess competencies ranging from academic proficiency to workplace adaptability in global contexts. Furthermore, the Director noted that KKU utilises rigorous evaluation and tracking systems to assess the quality and readiness of its graduates.
