“Kick off KM EdKKU” Propels Knowledge Management Project Toward Systematic and Sustainable Organizational Development

29 April 2026 – The Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, has moved forward with its 2026 Knowledge Management (KM) Strategy under the vision “Creating a Learning Organisation to Leverage Knowledge into Innovation.” This initiative aims to empower personnel and systematically enhance operational efficiency. 

The “EDKM: Kick Off KM” event was organised  as a pivotal starting point for fostering an internal learning culture. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Issara Kanjug, Dean of the Faculty of Education, presided over the opening ceremony, joined by executive members, staff, and the strategic team. The goal is to integrate KM tools into practical workflows, aligning with the Faculty’s mission to become an organisation that creates social value through educational innovation.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Issara Kanjug, Dean of the Faculty of Education, stated that the Faculty prioritises the creation and enrichment of knowledge assets as essential tools for driving the organisation. He envisions the Faculty evolving into a KM leader capable of generating a broad positive impact. “We strive to develop our Faculty into an organisation that creates meaningful benefits. To achieve this, we must foster continuous learning by utilising KM as both a tool and a supporting system. Ultimately, the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, will progress toward excellence and create sustainable innovations that address societal needs,” the Dean remarked. 

The event featured insights from distinguished experts, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Settapong Boonsri (Associate Dean for Organisational Quality Development) and Ms. Sukonta Kunapun from the Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University. They shared professional experiences and KM methodologies, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Prakittiya Tuksino (Associate Dean for Strategy and Organisational Development) serving as the lead coordinator for this organisational development initiative. The session included an exchange of Best Practices to strengthen and future-proof the Faculty’s knowledge management models. 

The EDKM initiative represents a significant step for the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, in reinforcing its role as a leader in educational innovation. Beyond producing graduates, the Faculty remains committed to developing “People” and “Systems” as a solid foundation for creating continuous value for the Thai educational landscape.
