KKU Researcher Takes the Global Stage: Invited Speaker at CMH2026 in Shanghai

Shanghai, People’s Republic of China – Khon Kaen University (KKU), through its Faculty of Medicine and the National Phenome Institute (NPI), continues to strengthen Thailand’s presence on the global research stage. Assistant Professor Dr. Jutarop Phetcharaburanin, a faculty member of the Department of Systems Biosciences and Computational Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, and Director of the National Phenome Institute, has been invited as an Invited Speaker at the prestigious international conference, The 2nd Conference of Metabolomics for Health 2026 (CMH2026), held from 27–30 April 2026.

At this international forum, Dr. Jutarop delivered a presentation entitled “Decoding Diet-Microbe-Host Interactions: Integrative Omics Insights into TMAO-Driven Cardiometabolic Risk.” The lecture showcased cutting-edge advancements in Systems Biology, Phenomic Medicine, and Bioinformatics, emphasizing multi-omics integration to unravel the complex interactions between diet, gut microbiota, and human biological systems, and their critical role in shaping cardiovascular disease risk.

CMH2026 is recognized as a leading global platform in metabolomics and health sciences, bringing together researchers, scientists, and experts from around the world to exchange knowledge on emerging technologies and medical innovations. The conference attracted more than 250 participants and featured distinguished speakers from diverse international backgrounds.

Accompanying Dr. Jutarop was a delegation from the National Phenome Institute, Khon Kaen University, including:

  • Dr. M.L. Manida Suksawat, Lecturer at the International College and Deputy Director for Academic Services
  • Dr. Wassana Jamnongkan, Assistant Director for Analytical Services
  • Dr. Navaporn Sritong, Research Associate and Head of the Bioengineering and Biosignal Detection Systems Unit
  • Dr. Korawit Opassathian, Research Associate

Their participation reflects the growing strength and readiness of Thailand’s research community to contribute to the global advancement of Phenomics, Multi-omics Integration, and Bioinformatics.

Beyond academic engagement, the KKU delegation also held discussions with the Human Phenome Institute, Fudan University, one of the world’s leading institutions, to advance international collaboration. Both parties are preparing for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), scheduled for 26 May 2026, which will focus on joint research in Human Phenome, Precision Medicine, and AI-driven Health, as well as the development of international phenome data infrastructure.

This achievement marks another significant milestone for Khon Kaen University in expanding its global research network. It also reinforces the leadership of the National Phenome Institute in advancing Phenomic Medicine, Systems Biology, and Bioinformatics, with a commitment to translating scientific knowledge into impactful applications that enhance public health and drive sustainable innovation.
