The award from the Chest Disease Institute recognises the Centre’s excellence in cardiac patient data management, highlighting its commitment to advancing medical services and knowledge.

On 27 April 2026, the Queen Sirikit Heart Center for the Northeast, Faculty of Medicine, Khon Kaen University, was presented with a plaque of honour recognizing it as an “Outstanding Hospital for Cardiac Patient Data Management in Health Region 7”. The award was conferred by the Chest Disease Institute, Ministry of Public Health, during the “Save Thais from Heart Diseases” mobile academic conference.
The award was presented during the “Save Thais from Heart Diseases” mobile academic conference, held at the 50th Birthday Anniversary of Maha Vajiralongkorn Building, Sappasithiprasong Hospital. Dr Nithi Sawangtham, Inspector General of the Ministry of Public Health (Region 10), presided over the ceremony, which celebrated institutions that have demonstrated exceptional performance in treatment, knowledge development, and service quality.
