ED KKU Transforms Modern Learning with “Disruptive Thinking Pedagogy” Workshop, Empowering International Demonstration School Teachers as Global Thinking Leaders.

The Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University (ED KKU), has launched a strategic global education initiative by organizing the “Disruptive Thinking Pedagogy” workshop. The opening ceremony was presided over by Mr. Surapon Petch-vra, Vice Chairman of the Khon Kaen University Council, who delivered a keynote address. Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D. President of Khon Kaen University, provided policy guidelines, while Assoc. Prof. Dr. Issara Kanjug, Dean of the Faculty of Education, presented the project report. The event took place from March 18–20, 2026, at Le Cassia Hotel.

The primary goal is to elevate faculty members from traditional instructors to “Learning Leaders.” This approach encourages students to create new knowledge through inquiry-based thinking and logical reasoning, preparing them for 21st-century challenges.

During the workshop, Mr. Surapon Petchvrai emphasized that “Modern teachers must be open-minded and brave enough to be challenged,” creating safe spaces for “Learn, Unlearn, and Relearn.” Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul added that “The heart of curriculum change is faculty development,” highlighting that this training is key to creating a new generation of Thais capable of driving national innovation.

The 3-day intensive session was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Issara Kanjug and experts from Miss Lily Pharma Co., Ltd. (a hybrid startup under KKU Miss Lily Holding Co., Ltd.), including Mr. Rewat Jindapol (CEO), Dr. Nopparat Inwiset, and Thanarat Patinyasakdikul, M.D. The “Disruptive Thinking Pedagogy” was developed to help students think beyond textbooks and connect classroom learning with real-world industries and career goals.
